Please note: we do not sell ready‑made wigs. With us you will only find high‑quality, custom‑made solutions.

Our Working Method

Your privacy is always our highest priority. That is why we work by appointment only, in a private room, so we can guide you in peace and with our full attention.

An intake consultation is always free and without obligation. During this first meeting we listen carefully to your wishes, provide personal advice and select several suitable custom options together. Our wigs are crafted with great attention to detail and designed to look as natural as possible, so you can wear your wig with confidence.

Once you have made your choice, we ensure that the wig is professionally cut and styled so it matches your personal style and face shape. At Chierah you receive the care and attention you deserve.

Reimbursement from Health Insurance

Chierah Hair & Beauty is an ANKO‑recognised wig specialist. We have agreements with several health insurers and, in many cases, we can submit the claim directly on your behalf. Any reimbursement will then be deducted from the total price.

The amount reimbursed depends on your health insurer and policy conditions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us for personal advice.

Reserving a Custom Wig

Do you expect hair loss, for example due to chemotherapy, or are you unsure whether this will happen? Then you can reserve a custom‑made wig in advance. We will ensure that, when the time comes, a suitable wig is immediately available for you.

We understand this can be an emotional period. That is why we are there for you wherever you need us – at home, in the hospital or in our salon.

As soon as the wig is ready, we will contact you to schedule an appointment. During this appointment, the wig is carefully fitted and, if desired, we also help with the removal of any remaining hair. You will also receive a free maintenance plan from us, so your wig stays in optimal condition.

Every wig is custom‑made. For hygienic reasons, we cannot exchange or take back wigs after purchase.

Minor adjustments or repairs are, of course, part of our service. In addition, we provide a 6‑month warranty on your wig, provided you use the recommended maintenance products and follow the supplied maintenance plan.

If you have a complaint and we cannot resolve it together, you can use the complaints procedure of the SGC (Stichting Geschillencommissies Consumentenzaken). This arrangement ensures an independent handling of your complaint.

No. At Chierah Hair & Beauty we only provide custom‑made wigs. Each wig is fully tailored to your wishes, head shape and lifestyle, ensuring a perfect fit, natural appearance and optimal comfort.

Am I entitled to reimbursement from my health insurer?

In many cases, yes. If you have a medical indication for hair loss (for example alopecia or chemotherapy), you are often eligible for reimbursement. We are ANKO‑recognised and can submit claims directly to your health insurer. The exact amount depends on your policy. Contact us for personal advice.

How much does a custom wig cost?

The price of a custom‑made wig depends on several factors, such as the choice of material (synthetic or human hair), length, density and any additional styling. During the intake we discuss your wishes and provide a non‑binding quotation.

How long does it take before my wig is ready?

The delivery time for a custom‑made wig is approximately 2 weeks. In some cases this may vary slightly, depending on your specific wishes. We always keep you informed of the progress.

Can I reserve my wig before I lose my hair?

Yes, and this is even recommended. Especially in the case of planned chemotherapy or another medical treatment, we advise you to have a wig fitted and reserved in good time. This way you are prepared and avoid unnecessary stress.

Will my wig be cut and styled?

Yes. Every wig is fully tailored to your face shape and personal style. We cut, style and fit the wig so it looks as natural as possible – as if it were your own hair.

Can I have my wig fitted at home or in the hospital?

Yes, we also offer a mobile service. If it is more comfortable for you that we visit you at home or in the hospital, this is possible. Please mention this when making your appointment.

How long does a wig last?

A well‑maintained custom wig lasts on average 6 to 12 months. The lifespan depends on the type of hair, how often it is worn and how well it is cared for.

Do I get a warranty on my wig?

Yes, you receive a 6‑month warranty, provided you maintain the wig with the recommended products and follow our maintenance plan.

Wig Maintenance – Tips & Advice

To keep your wig beautiful and comfortable for as long as possible, proper maintenance is essential.

Daily use

• Brush your wig gently with a special wig brush.
• Preferably do not wear your wig while sleeping to prevent friction damage.
• Avoid contact with heat sources such as ovens, hot air from stoves or open flames. For synthetic hair, avoid hairdryers and styling tools unless clearly heat‑resistant.
  
  

Cleaning

• Wash your wig after approximately 7–10 wears, or sooner in case of heavy perspiration.
• Always use special wig shampoo and conditioner (do not use regular hair products).
• Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently blot dry with a towel – do not wring or twist.
• Let the wig air‑dry on a stand, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources

Styling

• Synthetic hair: Do not use heat (curling irons/hairdryers) unless the wig is explicitly labelled as heat‑resistant.
• Human hair: Can be styled carefully with tools on a low temperature, always with heat protection.
• Avoid heavy styling products such as gel or wax, as they can weigh down or damage the wig.

Storage

• Store your wig on a wig stand or in a breathable fabric cover.
• Avoid damp areas such as bathrooms.
• Professional maintenance
• Schedule a check‑up or maintenance appointment every 6–8 weeks in our salon.
• During this visit we can professionally clean, trim, style and refit your wig if necessary.

Recommended products

When your wig is fitted, you will receive a personal maintenance kit with the correct products and a detailed maintenance plan. We advise against using other products, as they may affect the quality of the wig and the warranty conditions.
